Quality Assurance
DEC TE series motors are manufactured as per IS: specifications. These compact motors have high HP to weight ratio. These are suitable for all common industrial machine tools, compressors, blowers, pumps, conveyors, sugar machinery, oil mills etc.
Construction
Type TE motors are so constructed that they comply with the protection on requirements of IP-44 as per IS: 4691. High efficiency is assured by the use of low loss silicon steel laminations & pressure die-cast rotors.
Electrical Performance
The electrical performance of DEC standard motors conforms to the IS: 325. The motors are designed to give rated output at 415 Volts, 3 Phase, and 50 Hz supply. Use of class B insulation ensures optimum functioning of the motor even for a temperature rise of 80'C measured by the resistance method over an ambient of 40'C. Motors below 3HP are designed for direct-on-line (DOL) Starting. Motors above 3 HP are suitable for star-Delta starting. Detailed electrical performance data can be supplied on specific request.
Noise Levels
Noise Level of DEC Motors are low and are within the limits specified in IS: 12065.
Balancings
The rotors are dynamically balanced, with a half-sized key in the shaft extension. From the stand point of vibration the standard motor satisfies Grade "N" according to IS: 12075.
Bearings
DEC Motors are provided with generously sized pre-lubricated ball contact bearings fitted on precision-ground shaft for noise free operation.
Testing
Before dispatch, every DEC motor is thoroughly tested as per IS: 325. An individual test certificate is enclosed with each motor inside the packing case.
Paints
Synthetic enamel based paint is used for both primer and finishing. The standard color on DEC motors is deep grey. However special treatment and color shades are available on request.
Warrantee
DEC motors are tested ensuring strict quality controls as per ISO 9001:2000 by qualified and experienced engineers. DEC motors carry warrantee for 12 months against any manufacturing defect from the date of purchase.
